Henri Holemans founded the Ateliers Holemans. Today, his sacred works can still be admired around the world (New York, Chicago, Montreal, Brazil…) or closer to home, at the Basilica of Koekelberg in Brussels.
Henri Holemans delves into the art of natural lacquers on metals with a Japanese master. A secret passed down from father to son, and mastery of lacquered jewellery that remains, to this day, one of the signatures of the House.
Jean Holemans takes over the family workshop and steers it towards a more secular jewellery work. An inspired man, he designs each piece and creates the Holemans style.
Jean Holemans creates the iconic solitaire “Antilope” and introduces the use of lacquers on precious metals, a first in Belgium.
A new boutique opens in the goulet of Avenue Louise, where eight high-level artisans bring their craft to life. At this time, the Holemans House is already established as one of the most active and prolific jewellers in Belgium.
Thierry Holemans takes up the torch of the jewellery, creates thematic collections, and perpetuates the tradition of lacquer, inviting it into card holders, brooches, keychains…
Holemans is the first Belgian jeweller shop to open on Place Vendôme. Meanwhile, the “living jewellery” Orichalque® is born, a line which gently moves with the touch of the skin.
Thierry Holemans can pride himself on having notably adorned Belgian royalty, and having crowned Sir Ben Kingsley, Tony Curtis, as well as Juliette Binoche with his “Joseph Plateau Honorary Award” trophies.
Moïse Mann, artisan jeweller, founds the Manalys House. His ambition: to create unique pieces, developed around gems selected during his travels around the world.
The Serti Secret is born, capable of giving the illusion of floating diamonds on the skin, without claws or visible setting. The technique was inaugurated on a diamonds necklace, brilliant and briolette cuts, electrified by a rare 10-carat emerald.
After 20 years of working within the Holemans House, Moïse Mann takes over the reins, as vigilant guardian of the family’s heritage.
The year 2022 is marked by prestigious collaborations, significant events, and new creations specially designed for the 100th anniversary of the Holemans House.
To celebrate the occasion, the House is publishing a book tracing its history, featuring sublime images showcasing its evolution and its finest creations over time.
Born from a symbiosis revealed in broad daylight, the fusion between the centenary Holemans House and the Manalys jewellery House naturally takes place in 2024, driven by the same desire for quality and a shared passion for traditional savoir-faire.
Preserving its historic workshops, emblematic creations, and timeless values, the Holemans Manalys House adds without subtracting, allowing the tradition of one and the audacity of the other to meet and influence each other in a perpetual dialogue.

For over 100 years now, the House pays a daily tribute to excellence. This excellence is reflected in the work of its artisans, who tirelessly craft jewellery blending savoir-faire, experience, and creativity. And it is also evident in the stones and materials that the House handpicks with the utmost care, with which it shapes its precious creations.
Under the visionary guidance of Moïse Mann and inspired by his many travels, a new creative energy infuses the House, with boldness manifesting itself in each creation. This is the “Manalys Effect”: a universe where ingenuity and inventiveness meet centuries-old savoir-faire, offering unique pieces that continually push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship.
The creation of our jewellery respects the environment and the people involved. We work exclusively with recycled gold, bought from our clients, conscious of the ecological and health impacts of its extraction. Concerned that the sale of diamonds does not finance armed conflicts in Africa, we ensure that our suppliers are certified by the Kimberley Process and the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), guaranteeing the origin of the rough diamonds.
A savoir-faire passed down from father to son over three generations, and taken up with strength by our symbolic heir, Moïse Mann, makes our jewellery a guarantee of precious craftsmanship. Strengthened by a century of existence, we perpetuate this heritage through the remarkable work of our artisans, within our jewellery stores. A heritage still passed on today by training our young apprentices, immortalising our savoir-faire, experience, and beautiful values that are ours.
